FERRARI 250 GTO
Large bold color print by the
artist Enzo Naso of the Ferrari 250 GTO driven at the 1962
Tourist Trophy race by Innes Ireland. Ireland is seen getting
into the car at the LeMans Start. Ireland won this race ahead
of Mike Parkes and Ray Salvadori, also in Ferrari 250 GTOs.
Naso is the favored artist
of Scuderia Ferrari and has done a number of works commemorating
Ferrari events.
Print has been archivally backed
on linen. Image size is approximately 18" X 22".

Wonderful multimedia (graphite-wash)
detailed sketch by motoring artist Bryan De Grineau, of George
Eyston and Eddie Hall racing up the Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb
circuit in identical C-type MGs. This was the first time that
two cars raced simultaneously on this circuit. This event
is documented in the book MG by F. Wilson McComb.
De Grineau did many sketches
and ilustrations for The Motor from the
mid-1920s to the end of the 1930s.

in 1963 by the team of Gerard Langlois and Jean Blaton. Blaton
and Langlois remarkably finished second to the Ferrari 250P
of Bandini and Scarfiotti. Ferrari swept the top six spots.

artist, Peter Hearsey, of the Alfa of eventual winner, Brian
Lewis, leading the Bugatti of Tim Rose Richards in the Mannin
Moar race of 1933. Lewis also set the fastest lap time. Painting
has great color, scale and detail.
Hearsey is a member of the
prestigious Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS), has won numerous
awards and his work is in leading private and corporate collections.
He is the official artist for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

WERNER (MERCEDES) - ASCARI (ALFA ROMEO)
Historic pastel painting by
David Ginn, member of the Guild of Motoring Artists
(GMA) , that depicts the winner of the 1924 Targa Florio,
Christian Werner, cornering his Mercedes in the Sicilian mountains.
Werner is being pursued by the second place finisher, Antonio
Ascari. The 1924 Targa victory was the first German win in
post war racing.
The Targa Florio was created
in 1906 by the wealthy pioneer race driver and automobile
enthusiast, Vincenzo Florio. This race is described with early
photos in the book Power and Glory by William Court,
pgs. 131-132. Additional data on the race will be provided
to buyer.

"UNDER THE BIG TENT"
Beautiful painting of a radiator
mascot of the Egyptian God Ra on an early Stutz motorcar.
This radiator mascot appeared on the Stutz car from 1926 to
1935. Ra was the king of Gods - the father of creation - and
the patron of the pharaoh.
The car that was the subject
of this painting was in an exhibit tent. The painting captures
the reflection of the tent stripes in the plating of the mascot.

MASSEIZ-1930s
Vintage painting, by French
artist Masseiz, depicting a K3 Type MG (1932-1934), of which
only 33 were built, coming off the banking at the Montlhery
Autodrome which was established on Oct. 4, 1924. The first
race at this track was held on July 26, 1925. Antonio Ascari
(Alberto's father) died in a crash during that race.
Painting has great color and

Large painting by noted motoring
artist Peter Hearsey, of Tim Birkin and Woolf Barnato (The
Bentley Boys) in their Bentley Speed Six, being pursued by
the Stutz of Edouard Brisson and Louis Chiron, enroute to
their victory in the 1929 LeMans 24-Hour Classic. This painting
appeared on the cover of Automobile Quarterly, Vol.
31, No. 4. (see photo below) and was also chosen to appear
on the cover of the Automobile Quarterly Twenty Five Year
Index Volume.
Peter Hearsey is a member of
the exclusive Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS).

cultural collections.

500 done in pastel by the artist Jan Roderick Carroll (1928
- ), depicting driver Gil Anderson and his riding mechanic
in his Stutz. Carroll considered his style to be "illuminist."
Anderson started fifth and
finished third in his factory-entered Stutz at an average
speed of 87.60 mph. See The Illustrated History of The

Extremely rare and very early
pastel portrait of a properly attired racing motorist aggressively
poised over the wheel of his machine. The board backing of
this artwork has remnants of French newspapers from 1903,
providing date and place-of-origin information. Signature
appears to be E.Tamil but further research could provide
more background.
Motoring subjects of this age,
subject and quality are rarely seen. Excellent condition.
