RADIATOR MASCOT
HENRI PAYEN
Ca: 1920s
This
extremely rare radiator mascot depicts a stylized speeding
early two-man race car. Dust swirls and the occupants' scarves,

AMILCAR - CGS
1925
Vintage detailed artist rendering in colored pencil, probably
done in the 1930s, of an Amilcar CGS being driven hard in
a club trial. In 1925, Amilcar introduced the CGS model, a
DOHC six-cylinder, which produced 83 hp which was eventually
"tweaked" to 108 hp. The CGS swept the competition,
winning 73 times in 1926 alone. In this rendering, the artist
captures not only the determination of the participants, but
an accurate technical depiction of the Amilcar itself.

there.
Rosemeyer and the great Tazio
Nuvolari were the only two drivers credited with taming the
mid-engined Auto Union "monsters." Rosemeyer died
attempting a world speed record on the Autobahn in January
1938.
