THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON!

The 2011 show season was a great success! We had greeted the season with some trepidation, given the status of the economy. We exhibited at seven events that occurred from late May through mid October. These included events where we have exhibited for 20+ years as well as a new event that has, in our opinion, already established itself as a "must see" for enthusiasts.

The Elegance at Hershey Concours d'Elegance was held concurrently with the Grand Ascent, a VSCCA sanctioned hillclimb that saw VSCCA drivers storming their immaculately prepared machines up the back road to the Hotel Hershey! The Concours featured magnificent cars displayed on the multi-level, beautifully manicured grounds of the Hotel Hershey. Check their website for a great overhead photo of the grounds. We were exhibiting in a large tent with several artists and a few selected vendors. Great Stuff! We strongly suggest that you put this event on your schedule for 2012. The dates have already been announced as June 8, 9,10. Check their website, www. theeleganceathershey.com for the latest info.

The Lime Rock Historic Festival and the Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance are two events that continue to build with success based on good management and good car count and quality. We have exhibited at the Festival for 20+ years and although it certainly has changed in that time, it continues to be a top ranked event for the vintage racing faithful. We have had the privilege of watching a number of our customers age gracefully and their children grow from toddlers to job-seeking college graduates! The Fairfield Concours had a quality entry of over 200 cars and motorcycles and over 7500 attendees ! The Barn Find section was a great idea.

Among the notables visitng Tavares Motorsport this year were noted author Peter Egan (at the Fairfield County Concours) and Nuvolari (with Mat at the Lime Rock Historic Festival).
