Vintage pair of racing and safety goggles by the Cesco. Co. Chicago, Illinois. Original box. Goggles are in as-new condition and have ventilated frames, adjustable leather centerpiece and elasticized head strap. Box has bright colors and is in excellent condition, although one end flap is detached (can be reattached).

A very nice pair of vintage goggles that would complement any vintage racing collection or display.

LEAPING CAT MASCOT

Jaguar showroom desk piece - probably used to store pencils, etc. on a salesman's desk. Has gold-toned Jaguar mascot crawling atop a plated oval cylinder that has a red suede lined insert.

Height to top of mascot is approximately 5". Metal base mount is 4 1/4" x 3". Would look great on the desk of a Jaguar owner/ enthusiast.

GEORGE MONKHOUSE PHOTOGRAPH

Rare and remarkable close-view photograph, by the famous photographer and writer, George Monkhouse, of arguably the greatest of all time, Tazio Nuvolari, at the wheel of the powerful Auto Union at an uphill section of the German Grand Prix of 1939.

Monkhouse wrote and photographed extensively during this period, producing a landmark book, Mercedes Benz Grand Prix Racing 1934-1955, and a photographic record of what has been called the "Golden Era of Racing. " Monkhouse estate stamp is on reverse of photo.

Matted and mounted in a 20 " x 16" brown wood frame.

UNITED STATES TIRE ASHTRAY

THE RAREST OF ITS TYPE

An exceedingly rare United States Tire ashtray. Composed of a glass tray with a silver metal attached treaded tire and a metal-spoked silvered wheel inset. Tire has raised lettering on the sidewall reading United States Tires Are Good Tires -Plain - Royal Cord - Nobby - Chain - USCO. The slogan and the company logo appear twice. The tire and the spoked-wheel inset exhibit extraordinary detail, even down to the valve stem on the wheel, and are in exceptional condition. Approximately 6" in diameter.

This is only the second example of this item that we have been able to offer in over twenty years. A prize for the passionate collector.

VINTAGE PAINTED HELMET AND GLOVES
TOMMY FARRELL
1921-2004

Vintage painted helmet and gloves that belonged to the western movie and television star, Tommy Farrell. Farrell appeared in more than three dozen movies and numerous television shows and was an amateur sports car racer in the 1950s.

The helmet is decorated with the CRC racing team logo and has his initials on the back. The helmet is Machpi 56, manufactured in Italy. The gloves are the typical leather and web-back worn by racers of the period.

A rare grouping of authentic 1950s U.S. sports car racing artifacts.

Oldsmobile dash clock (1915) by the Ansonia Clock Co. In working order. 3 1/2" diameter, nickel on brass-knurled bezel. 2 1/2" inner bezel with beveled glass. Silver painted face with OLDSMOBILE script. 4 1/2" nickel on brass dashboard flange. Back- mounted key wind and hand adjustment.

Mounted in a mahogany tapered deskstand, 5 1/2" w x 5 1/2 " d.

A great desk piece or can be dash-mounted in your Olsmobile.

PRESCOTT HILL CLIMB
PARTICIPANT'S BADGE

Fine enameled Bugatti Owners Club-Prescott Badge, with participation pins for the years 1964 through 1971.

In 1937, the Bugatti Owners Club purchased the Prescott estate and began construction of the speed hill climb course that is used to this day. The course is regarded as one of the most challenging hillclimb courses (course map is affixed to reverse).

This beautiful enameled Participant's badge has the Bugatti grille in gold detail and eight (8) attached participants pins. Matted and mounted, with a scan photo of a Type 35 Bugatti on the Prescott hill, in a 11" w x 14" h gold wood frame.

VANDERBILT CUP RACE, LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - 1936

Photo showing the great Tazio Nuvolari seated in an early Grand Prix car, mounted with an original ticket for the 1936 Vanderbilt Cup race that was held at Roosevelt Raceway on Long Island, N.Y. Nuvolari won the race in his 300 hp Alfa Romeo.

Matted and mounted in an 11" x 14" cherry wood frame.

FRENCH GRAND PRIX - RHEIMS
FERRARI SHARKNOSE

Great large photograph of Phil Hill, in the pits, dejected after retiring his Ferrari. Hill won the pole and led the race, but his Ferrari Sharknose let him, and his teammate Von Trips, down.

Hill went on to win the World Grand Prix Drivers Championship in 1961.
